Briana was kind enough to bring the hat I knitted her for her birthday back to me so I could get a picure of it:
And I just made Sarah a Happy Hat for Christmas.
I love square hats like this. Most patterns have them knit flat, but they're easier done in the round with a three-needle bind-off. The Happy Hat in particular is as easy as can be: a couple of rows of ribbing, and then just knit till you're done. They look adorable on, too; even Sarah's incredibly stylish grandma thought hers was cute and not too silly.
